Job Description

- Supervise daily scaffolding activities including erection, modification, inspection, and dismantling.
- Lead scaffolders, helpers, and subcontractors on site.
- Plan and allocate manpower, materials, and equipment for scaffolding works.
- Ensure scaffolding structures are built according to approved design, drawings, and safety standards.
- Conduct site checks to ensure scaffolds are:
Safe and stable
Properly braced and tied
Equipped with correct access (ladders, stairways, platforms)
Coordinate with other disciplines (mechanical, piping, E&I, civil) to provide access requirements.
- Ensure scaffolds are tagged (green tag / red tag system) after inspection.
- Carry out and support scaffold inspections before use and after any modification.
- Interpret basic engineering drawings and scaffold sketches.
- Ensure correct use and maintenance of scaffolding materials (tubes, couplers, boards, frames).
- Enforce HSE requirements and ensure compliance with PTW and work-at-height procedures.
- Conduct toolbox talks and daily safety briefings.
- Identify hazards related to working at height and implement control measures.
- Ensure proper housekeeping of scaffolding yard and work areas.
- Maintain scaffolding records, inspection logs, and material tracking.
- Stop unsafe scaffolding activities when required.
