Job Description

- Supervise all lifting and rigging operations including routine and critical lifts.
- Review, approve (as per authority level), and implement lift plans and rigging studies.
- Ensure all lifting activities are carried out in compliance with:
Lifting procedures
PTW system
HSE regulations
Client and project requirements
- Coordinate cranes, lifting equipment, rigging gear, and manpower for lifting operations.
- Lead rigging teams including riggers, signalmen, and crane operators.
-Inspect lifting gear (slings, shackles, hooks, spreader beams) before use.
- Ensure lifting equipment certifications are valid and properly maintained.
- Identify hazards and ensure proper risk assessments (JSA / RAMS) are in place.
- Supervise:
Equipment lifting and installation
Structural steel lifting
Piping and mechanical lifting activities
Heavy and critical lifts
- Conduct toolbox talks and lifting safety briefings prior to operations.
- Coordinate with mechanical, piping, structural, and E&I teams during lifting works.
- Ensure proper communication between crane operators and signalmen.
- Monitor weather conditions and site constraints affecting lifting operations.
- Stop unsafe lifting activities immediately when required.
- Maintain lifting logs, reports, and documentation.
- Ensure proper storage, handling, and maintenance of rigging equipment.
