Job Description

- Lead and supervise Instrument Technicians during maintenance, shutdown, and troubleshooting activities.
- Plan and assign daily instrument maintenance work to technicians and subcontractors.
- Perform and oversee:
- Instrument calibration
- Functional testing
- Loop checking
- Preventive and corrective maintenance
- Troubleshoot complex instrumentation and control system issues.
- Maintain and repair:
- Pressure, temperature, flow, and level instruments
- Control valves and actuators
- Analyzers and transmitters
- PLC/DCS/SCADA related field devices
- Review and interpret:
- P&IDs
- Loop diagrams
- Instrument hook-up drawings
- Cause & effect charts
- Wiring diagrams
- Ensure instrumentation works are carried out according to approved procedures and safety requirements.
- Coordinate with operations, electrical, mechanical, and engineering teams during maintenance and shutdown activities.
- Monitor spare parts, tools, and calibration equipment availability.
- Assist supervisors in planning shutdowns, turnarounds, and commissioning activities.
- Verify quality of completed maintenance and calibration works.
- Prepare maintenance reports, calibration records, and work completion documentation.
Conduct toolbox talks and ensure compliance with HSE procedures and PTW requirements.
Mentor and guide junior technicians.

Other Requirements

- Technical Certificate or Diploma in Instrumentation, Electrical & Instrumentation, or related discipline.
- Minimum 6–8 years experience in instrumentation maintenance within:
- Oil & Gas
- LNG
- Petrochemical
- Power generation
- Industrial plants
- Minimum 2–3 years in lead or senior technician role.
- Strong knowledge of:
- Process instrumentation
- Calibration techniques
- Control systems
- Pneumatic and electronic instruments
- PLC/DCS systems
- Good troubleshooting and leadership skills.
- Familiar with hazardous area equipment and safe work practices.
