Job Description

- Supervise all scaffolding operations including erection, modification, inspection, and dismantling activities.
- Plan scaffolding requirements based on project activities and coordinate with all disciplines (mechanical, piping, structural, E&I, civil).
- Ensure scaffolding works are executed according to approved drawings, design calculations, and standards.
- Review scaffold designs, sketches, and method statements prior to execution.
- Ensure all scaffolds are properly tagged:
Green tag (safe for use)
Red tag (do not use / unsafe)
Conduct and oversee scaffold inspections:
Before use
After modification
Periodic inspections
- Ensure compliance with:
Work at Height regulations
PTW (Permit to Work) system
Company and client HSSE requirements
- Lead and manage scaffold teams including foremen, scaffolders, and subcontractors.
- Conduct risk assessments and review JSA / RAMS for scaffolding activities.
- Ensure scaffolding materials and systems (tube & fitting, system scaffolds like Cuplock/Ringlock) are used correctly and safely.
- Monitor scaffold loading limits and structural integrity.
- Provide technical guidance for complex and high-risk scaffolding structures.
- Conduct toolbox talks, safety briefings, and site safety walkthroughs.
- Coordinate with HSE team on audits, inspections, and incident investigations.
- Maintain scaffolding records, inspection reports, and material tracking logs.
- Ensure proper storage, handling, and inspection of scaffolding materials and equipment.
- Stop unsafe scaffolding work immediately when hazards are identified.
