Job Description
- Supervise, coordinate, and guide a team of welders in daily operations.
- Assign tasks, monitor progress, and ensure timely completion of welding projects.
- Inspect work for quality, accuracy, and compliance with specifications and safety standards.
- Train and mentor team members on welding techniques, safety practices, and equipment use.
- Maintain inventory of welding materials, tools, and equipment.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other departments to meet production goals.
- Enforce workplace safety rules and ensure proper use of protective equipment.
Identify process improvements and implement best practices to increase efficiency and quality.
Other Requirements
- Proven experience as a welder with extensive hands-on skills in MIG, TIG, Stick, or other welding techniques.- Prior supervisory or team-lead experience in a welding or fabrication environment.
- Strong knowledge of welding codes, standards, and quality inspection procedures.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and welding specifications.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Certification in welding (e.g., AWS) preferred.
- Strong commitment to safety and team development.
