Job Description

- Lead and supervise the mechanical maintenance team, including Mechanics and Assistant Mechanics

- Plan, coordinate, and execute preventative and corrective maintenance of all mechanical equipment

- Oversee maintenance of drilling equipment such as draw-works, top drive, mud pumps, rotary equipment, and hoisting systems

- Ensure mechanical integrity of engines, compressors, cranes, winches, and auxiliary systems

- Review maintenance plans, job safety analyses (JSAs), and permits to work (PTW)

- Troubleshoot mechanical failures and lead repair activities to minimize downtime

- Ensure compliance with OEM manuals, class requirements, and regulatory standards

- Maintain maintenance records, reports, and spare parts documentation

- Coordinate with the Chief Electrician, Driller, Toolpusher, and Rig Manager

- Participate in audits, inspections, and emergency response activities

- Promote safety leadership and a strong safety culture within the maintenance team
