Job Description

Supervise scaffold erection, alteration, and dismantling activities to ensure safety, efficiency, and compliance.

Lead and coordinate a team of scaffolders, assigning tasks and monitoring performance.

Ensure all scaffolding structures are erected and maintained in accordance with design drawings, risk assessments, and applicable safety standards (e.g., OSHA, CISRS, BS EN).

Conduct site inspections and toolbox talks to promote a strong safety culture.

Liaise with project managers, engineers, and safety officers to plan scaffold requirements.

Maintain accurate records of scaffold work, including daily progress reports, inspection checklists, and permit-to-work documentation.

Ensure scaffolding materials are handled, stored, and used properly to avoid damage or shortages.

Train and mentor junior scaffolders and ensure all crew members are aware of safe work practices.
