Job Description
The Cement Laboratory Supervisor oversees all laboratory operations related to testing and quality control of cement slurries and additives used in oilfield well cementing.
This role ensures all testing is carried out accurately, on time, and in accordance with API standards, client requirements, and internal procedures.
The supervisor leads a team of lab technicians, maintains lab equipment, manages inventory, and supports cementing engineers in designing and validating slurry systems.
Other Requirements
- Expert in the field of cement slurry design and testing, including , High pressure wells , HTHP, deepwater wells , special cement blends (Lightweight , Flexible, High density) , wettability testing and foam cementing.- Expert in calibration and maintenance of all laboratory cementing equipment.
- Meeting deadlines to enable engineers to meet programme deliverables ( pilot testing , slurry optimisation/ confirmation testing ).
- Work with Clients on fluids confirmation testing.
- Provide technical support to more junior team members, i.e Cement Laboratory Technician.
