Job Description

- Lead and supervise the mechanical maintenance team onboard.
- Plan and oversee preventive and corrective maintenance activities.
- Ensure proper operation and maintenance of:
Diesel engines
Pumps
Compressors
Hydraulic systems
Mud pumps
Generators
Rotating equipment
Drilling machinery
Mechanical drive systems
- Troubleshoot major mechanical breakdowns and equipment failures.
- Coordinate repairs, overhauls, and maintenance shutdown activities.
- Review maintenance schedules, reports, and technical documentation.
- Monitor machinery performance and recommend improvements.
- Ensure spare parts and mechanical inventory are adequately maintained.
- Coordinate with drilling, marine, electrical, and operations departments.
- Ensure compliance with HSSE standards, PTW systems, and company procedures.
- Conduct toolbox talks, safety meetings, and emergency drills.
- Mentor and train junior mechanics and maintenance personnel.
