Job Description
- Assist in maintaining and repairing mechanical equipment onboard the rig.
- Monitor and support operation of:
Diesel engines
Pumps
Compressors
Generators
Mud systems
Hydraulic equipment
Mechanical drive systems
- Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance tasks.
- Lubricate machinery and replace worn or damaged components.
- Assist mechanics and engineers during breakdown repairs and troubleshooting.
- Maintain cleanliness and housekeeping in engine rooms and machinery areas.
- Record equipment readings and maintenance activities.
- Ensure machinery operates safely and efficiently.
- Follow Permit-to-Work (PTW) systems and HSSE procedures.
- Participate in emergency drills and safety meetings.
Other Requirements
Experience in mechanical maintenance, marine engineering, or industrial machinery is an advantage.Basic knowledge of diesel engines and mechanical systems.
Physically fit and able to work in offshore environments.
Able to work rotational schedules and long hours offshore.
