Job Description

- Operate and monitor all radio and communication equipment onboard the drilling rig or project site.
- Maintain continuous communication with:
Offshore installation manager (OIM)
Marine vessels
Helicopters
Onshore base
Emergency response teams
- Handle daily communication logs, reports, and message transmissions.
- Monitor emergency frequencies and respond according to emergency procedures.
- Coordinate helicopter arrivals/departures and personnel movement (POB – Persons on Board).
- Maintain records of weather reports, marine traffic, and operational updates.
- Ensure all communication systems are functioning properly and report faults when necessary.
- Assist in emergency drills and real emergency situations.
- Maintain confidentiality of operational and company communications.
- Support administrative tasks such as documentation, manifests, and reporting when required.

Other Requirements

- Experience working offshore or in drilling/oil & gas projects.
- Knowledge of marine/offshore communication systems and radio procedures.
- Familiar with:
VHF/UHF radio systems
Satellite communication systems
GMDSS (preferred)
- Emergency communication procedures
- Good English communication skills (written and spoken).
- Able to work rotational offshore schedules.
