- Responsible for supervising all scaffolding activities on onshore facilities and offshore platforms within oil & gas operations in Brunei
- Plans, organizes, and coordinates daily scaffolding work activities in line with project requirements, drawings, and permits
- Leads and manages scaffolding teams (Level 1, Level 2, and Level 3 scaffolders) to ensure safe and efficient execution of work
- Ensures all scaffolding structures are erected, modified, and dismantled in compliance with approved standards and engineering specifications
- Reviews scaffolding drawings, work packs, and method statements before execution of work
- Conducts site inspections to ensure scaffolds are safe, stable, properly tagged, and fit for use before handover
- Enforces strict compliance with HSE regulations, including working-at-height procedures and permit-to-work systems
- Identifies hazards, conducts risk assessments, and implements corrective and preventive safety measures
- Coordinates with clients, engineers, and other trade supervisors to ensure smooth workflow and minimal operational disruption
- Ensures proper allocation, use, and control of scaffolding materials, tools, and equipment
- Provides leadership, mentoring, and competency development for scaffolding personnel on site
- Conducts toolbox talks, safety briefings, and daily work planning meetings
- Monitors workforce performance, productivity, and adherence to safety and quality standards
- Ensures compliance with offshore safety requirements including emergency response procedures and survival protocols
- Works closely with shutdown/turnaround teams to deliver scaffolding support within tight schedules
- Verifies scaffold tagging systems and approves scaffolding handover documentation where authorized
- Reports progress, issues, and safety concerns to project management and site leadership
- Ensures compliance with company policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements at all times
- Works in both onshore industrial sites and offshore oil and gas platforms, including rotational offshore assignments when required
