- Advanced-level scaffolding role responsible for leading scaffolding operations on onshore and offshore oil & gas projects in Brunei
- Works independently or leads a small team under supervision of a Scaffolding Supervisor or Foreman
- Responsible for planning, erecting, modifying, and dismantling complex scaffolding structures
- Reads, interprets, and executes detailed scaffolding drawings, layouts, and engineering requirements
- Determines required scaffold type, materials, and configurations based on job scope and site conditions
- Ensures scaffolding structures are safe, stable, and compliant with industry standards and regulations
- Conducts inspections of completed scaffolds and ensures tag systems are correctly implemented
- Supervises and mentors Level 1 and Level 2 scaffolders during daily work activities
- Coordinates work activities with other trades and site teams to ensure safe execution of tasks
- Ensures proper use, handling, and control of all scaffolding materials and equipment
- Works on both onshore facilities (plants, fabrication yards, maintenance sites) and offshore platforms
- Participates in shutdowns, turnarounds, and high-risk maintenance projects in oil & gas environments
- Enforces strict compliance with HSE regulations, including working-at-height and permit-to-work systems
- Ensures all scaffolding operations are carried out safely with correct PPE and risk controls
- Identifies hazards and implements corrective actions to maintain safe working conditions
- May perform scaffold handover inspections prior to work authorization
- Communicates effectively with supervisors, engineers, and clients regarding scaffolding requirements and progress
