- Supervise and coordinate daily mechanical maintenance, fabrication, and painting activities at site.
- Plan manpower, tools, equipment, and materials required for assigned activities.
- Supervise mechanical maintenance works including equipment inspection, repair, overhaul, replacement, installation, alignment, and troubleshooting.
- Oversee fabrication activities involving piping, structural steel, supports, platforms, brackets, skids, and other mechanical components.
- Review and interpret engineering drawings, isometric drawings, fabrication drawings, specifications, and work packs.
- Supervise cutting, fit-up, welding, grinding, assembly, installation, and modification activities.
- Coordinate with welding and inspection personnel to ensure fabrication works meet approved procedures and specifications.
- Supervise surface preparation, abrasive blasting, painting, coating application, and touch-up works.
- Ensure correct coating systems, surface preparation standards, environmental conditions, and coating thickness requirements are maintained.
- Monitor the use and condition of mechanical tools, fabrication equipment, lifting equipment, and painting equipment.
- Ensure all equipment used for the work is properly inspected, certified, and fit for purpose.
- Coordinate with Maintenance, Operations, Engineering, QA/QC, Inspection, HSE, and other disciplines to ensure smooth execution of work.
- Ensure work is performed in accordance with approved Method Statements, Risk Assessments, ITPs, JSA/JHA, work packs, and Permit to Work (PTW) requirements.
- Conduct toolbox meetings and pre-job briefings with the work crew.
- Ensure compliance with LOTO, isolation procedures, SIMOPS, working-at-height, confined-space, hot-work, and other applicable HSE requirements.
- Monitor work progress against planned schedules and provide regular progress updates.
- Identify manpower, material, equipment, and technical constraints and escalate issues accordingly.
- Inspect completed work to ensure it meets required quality, dimensional, functional, and finishing standards.
- Coordinate required inspections, testing, punch-list clearance, and mechanical completion activities.
- Ensure proper documentation of completed work, including inspection reports, checklists, work completion records, and daily progress reports.
- Supervise subcontractors and technicians and ensure productivity and workmanship meet project requirements.
- Maintain good housekeeping and ensure work areas are kept safe and properly controlled.
- Support troubleshooting and corrective maintenance activities during plant operations, shutdowns, turnarounds, and maintenance campaigns.
- Ensure all activities are completed within the approved schedule, cost, quality, and safety requirements.
