Job Description

The Junior QA/QC Engineer will assist in implementing and maintaining Quality Assurance and Quality Control activities for engineering, construction, fabrication, maintenance, and oil & gas projects. The role supports the QA/QC team in ensuring that project activities, materials, equipment, workmanship, inspection and testing comply with approved specifications, project requirements, applicable standards, and company procedures.

- Assist the QA/QC team in implementing project Quality Plans, Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs), procedures and inspection requirements.
- Assist with site and workshop inspections to verify that work is carried out in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, procedures and applicable standards.
- Assist in monitoring fabrication, welding, mechanical installation, piping, structural and other construction activities.
- Review and maintain inspection reports, checklists, test records, material certificates and other quality documentation.
- Assist in verifying materials and equipment against approved specifications, drawings and relevant documentation.
- Support material identification, traceability and documentation control.
- Assist in coordinating and witnessing inspection and testing activities, including NDT, pressure testing, dimensional inspection and other applicable tests.
- Assist in reviewing NDT reports, welding documentation, inspection records and test results.
- Support the identification, recording and follow-up of Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) and corrective actions.
- Assist with the preparation and compilation of QA/QC dossiers, test packs, inspection records and project handover documentation.
- Participate in internal inspections, quality meetings, audits and site surveillance activities.
- Liaise with project engineers, supervisors, inspectors, subcontractors, vendors and other departments on quality-related matters.
- Ensure all quality records are properly maintained, updated and readily available for project and client requirements.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and promote compliance with company QA/QC procedures.
- Carry out other QA/QC duties as assigned by the QA/QC Engineer or Quality Manager.
