Job Description
- Develop, implement, and maintain HSE policies and procedures
- Conduct regular site inspections, risk assessments, and safety audits
- Identify hazards and recommend corrective and preventive actions
- Ensure proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
- Investigate accidents, incidents, and near-misses; prepare reports
- Promote a strong safety culture among employees and contractors
- Monitor environmental practices to ensure compliance with regulations
- Manage waste disposal, pollution control, and environmental protection measures
- Ensure activities minimize environmental impact
- Conduct HSE inductions and safety training for employees and contractors
- Organize toolbox talks, drills, and emergency response training
- Keep records of training and certifications
- Ensure compliance with local, national, and international HSE regulations
- Maintain HSE documentation, permits, and records
- Liaise with regulatory authorities and external auditors when required
- Prepare and submit regular HSE reports to management
- Develop and implement emergency response plans
- Coordinate fire drills, evacuation exercises, and emergency simulations
Other Requirements
- Minimum 5 to 8 years of relevant HSE experience in the Oil & Gas sector , construction or industrial projects- NEBOSH, IOSH & SHENA certification or equivalent recognized HSE qualification
- Familiar with onshore (e.g.: plant sites, warehouses, etc.) & offshore safety requirements
- Medically fit for onshore & offshore operations
- Proven ability to conduct risk assessments, audits, incident investigations & safety inspections
- Proficient in report writing & MS Office applications
