Job Description
a. Report to engineer, senior staff engineer and HOS
b. Ensure quality, efficient and economic repair work carried out
c. Carry out basic diagnosis, repair and test
d. Carry out work in accordance with authorized procedure
e. Observe rules and regulation
f. Correct use of spare
g. Defect reporting
h. High light any defect or damage
i. Bring immediate attention any shortcoming which affect the efficiency of the section
Other Requirements
a. Basic Electrical and electronic principles, e.g. motor, D.O.L, diodeb. understanding of electrical components, i.e. relay
c. Understanding of wiring diagrams,
d. symbol of electrical components
e. Use of test equipment
f. Basic electrical safety
g. Basic electrical installation and wiring practice, e.g. colour coding
h. Battery charger check and test e.g. output voltage, charging current.
i. Basic Air-conditioning systems
j. Motor control panels
k. Type of motor and testing
l. Knowledge on generator principles and operation
m. Knowledge on basic fire alarm systems
n. Navigation and lighting systems
o. Basic knowledge on PLC systems
