Job Description

Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and fabrication sketches.

Mark out steel structures accurately for cutting, drilling, and assembly.

Fit and assemble structural steel components (beams, columns, girders, etc.).

Ensure components are aligned and positioned correctly before welding or bolting.

Use hand tools, power tools, measuring instruments, and machinery safely and accurately.

Work with welders, fabricators, and other trades to complete assemblies.

Conduct quality checks to ensure fit-up and tolerances are within specification.

Maintain tools and equipment and ensure a clean and safe work environment.

Follow all safety procedures and comply with company and industry regulations.

Report any design or fitting discrepancies to supervisors or engineering staff.
