Job Description

Familiarize with the safety regulations and procedures on the rig floor
Assist in setting up and taking down drilling equipment
Operate drilling equipment such as tongs, elevators, and slips
Monitor and maintain the mud system
Assist in the inspection and maintenance of drilling equipment
Assist in the preparation of drilling fluids
Assist in the training of new floor hands
Perform other duties as assigned by the drilling supervisor or rig manager
