Job Description

Direct vehicle and pedestrian traffic around construction zones or other temporary traffic control areas

Communicate with equipment operators and construction crews to coordinate movements

Set up, place, and remove road signs, cones, and barriers

Use hand signals or flags to safely guide vehicles and heavy equipment

Monitor surroundings for potential safety hazards and report unsafe conditions

Assist in the enforcement of safety regulations and procedures on-site

Maintain clear communication via radios or signaling devices with other flaggers and supervisors

Ensure proper PPE is worn and follow site-specific safety protocols at all times
