Prepare detailed lifting plans, including method statements, rigging configurations, and risk assessments for routine and non-routine (critical) lifts.
Analyze lifting requirements by reviewing construction drawings, equipment specifications, and site conditions.
Determine appropriate lifting equipment, rigging gear, and crane capacities for each lift.
Coordinate with site engineers, lifting supervisors, and crane operators to ensure accurate implementation of lifting plans.
Ensure all lifting plans comply with applicable codes and regulations (e.g., LOLER, BS 7121, ASME B30.5).
Identify and mitigate potential hazards associated with lifting operations.
Support toolbox talks and pre-lift briefings by explaining the lift plan and safety measures to the crew.
Maintain records of lifting plans, equipment certifications, and permits.
Assist in the selection and verification of lifting equipment and accessories.
Participate in HSE audits, inspections, and investigations related to lifting operations.
